Cabalgatas Gauchas Salta

The option for people with or without previous experience who would like to have a better insight into the Gaucho culture. You will share our daily life and experience the tranquility of the valleys and mountains, becoming part of the nature of the region. You will spend the nights on an authentic Finca, mixing with its owners.

Two day rides:

Day One:
We pick you up at your hotel by jeep and head uphill to the La Quesera Valley. We visit the ancient convent of the valley where the ride starts. Before setting off, we will talk about security, the horses and the correct way to saddle and ride them.

We will start the trip on the territory of the Finca, riding through its plantations, open fields, forests and valleys. Back in the main house, we will have a traditional BBQ lunch with salads and local wines.

In the afternoon, we will continue our ride in the direction of La Pedrera, where we will have a beautiful view over the Lerma Valley and the City of Salta. On the way back, we will cross open fields where we can trot and gallop. Dinner is served in the main house of the Finca where we will spend the night.

Day Two:
Alter breakfast, we will ride to the Finca La Cruz, the ancient headquarters of the Gauchos of General Güemes, today a museum depicting the history of colonial life and the independence war of Argentina. Back at the Finca, we will have another traditional BBQ. After a break for digestion, we will ride to the top of the mountains to appreciate the view of the surrounding valleys. Before going back to Salta, we will have Mate and homemade bread.
